Future, do we ever get to see you?

How do we get to you?

It's a genuinely long narrow road to get to you,

You know we spend the most time thinking about you, right?

You must be special,

Don't you think?

You are always on everyone's racing thoughts,

We don't live in the present anymore.

We just think about you all day long,

Trying to create you given that you are hard to envision,

But the visualization of you remains obscure.

We just fantasize about what we would want you to be,

And that's crazy because most times we see you in our dreams,

And we wonder how you get there faster than you get to our reality.

Why is the journey to you so difficult to predict?

Why do we feel distant from you?

They say, "the future is uncertain,"

Are you uncertain?

I guess you just know things we don't,

And help us stir up confidence and hope,

That we wouldn't stir up without you.

We keep expecting your visit,

We keep anticipating...

We keep anticipating that remarkable day,

Although it's not certain as they say,

We'll still hope to see you.
