NOT Criminals

I am human,

Just like you are.

So, why these inhumane treatments? Why the cruelty?

Why the black-on-black brutality?

We all have the right to live,

Looking good and dressing as we please

Is not a reason to be killed.

We all have the right to personal liberty and freedom of expression,

We are free humans, undeserving of all your misconceptions.

The system that is designed to protect people's lives

Seems to be the one ending lives.

No more black-on-black discrimination and oppression.

Stop killing the future!

Stop leaving us fearful that our lives will end at any moment.

SARS needs to be put to an end.

Stop this so-called Anti-Robbery Squad from harassing civilians.

We are not criminals!

We all need to feel safe again.

So, do the needful to make Nigerians safe again.

Change is all we ask and I know progress is an option

But this is an emergency because we seem to be moving backwards.

There has not been any progress lately,

It seems like everything keeps falling apart into unfixable pieces.

Do something about these issues...

The issues affecting the people who seem to be overlooked.

Do not wait for one of your own to be gone
